FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Hosting the Tampa Spartans for a doubleheader Saturday, the Nova Southeastern men's swim team split the day, coming up short in the morning, but taking the afternoon session, while the women's team saw two losses at the NSU Aquatic Center.
MORNING SESSION

HOW IT HAPPENED:
TOP INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS:
- Mueller earned the first win of the day for the Sharks in the 50 freestyle, finishing in 20.80.
- Allison Kopas won the next event, the women's 200 individual medley, in 2:05.12.
- Dawson finished on top in the men's 100 freestyle, posting a time of 45.24.
- Jarryd Baxter topped the competition in the men's 200 backstroke, winning in 1:49.80.
- Savanna Best picked up the win in the women's 200 breaststroke in 2:17.18 before Olle Williamsson completed the event sweep for the Sharks with his time of 2:02.21.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Sharks jumpstarted the afternoon session, picking up wins in both the women's and men's 200 medley relays. Wright, Best, Maslova and Trieschmann won the women's side in 1:43.76 while the men's team of Mueller, Williamsson, Aimable and Jonathon Yanello earned the win in 1:31.43.l
- The NSU relays struck once again at the tail end of the meet, winning both sides of the 200 freestyle relay. Wright, Solana Capalbo, Audrey Rackel and Trieschmann finished on top in 1:36.08 before the men's team of Mueller, Aimable, Dawson and Yanello won in 1:22.31.
TOP INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS:
- NSU's Baxter and Tampa's Yannick Smith split first place in the men's 200 freestyle, both posting a 1:42.30.
- The Sharks swept the 50 freestyle, as Trieschmann and Dawson recorded a 24.29 and a 20.40. Dawson also went on to win the men's 100 free in 45.60.
- Allison Kopas picked up her second win of the day, finishing first in the women's 400 individual medley in 4:27.33.
- Aimable won the 100 butterfly with his time of 48.38.
- In the women's 100 backstroke, Wright topped the competition in 54.70.
- Best picked up her second win of the day in the women's 100 breaststroke in 1:03.90. Williamsson helped the Sharks secure the event sweep with his winning time of 56.79 on the men's side.

The Sharks will host their senior day meet next Friday, Feb. 12 against the Florida Tech Panthers at 2:00 p.m.
